Bell Delivers Patrol-Ready 505 to Arkansas Operator

Model 505 Ready to Clock in on Pipeline Patrol

A nicely outfitted Bell 505 was tendered to air oversight company Aerial Patrol, further empowering their mission of providing major power and energy providers throughout the USA with all the sky-bound support they need.

Aerial Patrol handles the usual stuff like pipeline patrol and aerial photography, but they can be tapped in to provide helo-based critical incident support. The new 505 will be put solely on pipeline patrol, making the rounds all along the lines that ferry power throughout the state. With its newest fleet addition, Aerial Patrol has become one of the first U.S. companies to dedicate the use of their Bell 505 exclusively for comprehensive utility inspection.

Bell's 505 boasts a Hover Ceiling (IGE) of 14,450 ft, a Hover Ceiling (OGE) of 10,460 ft and a Max Cruise of 125 kts.

The Bell 505 seems well-suiited to this chosen role with its Safran Arrius 2R engine, dual channel FADEC, and G1000H NXi avionics suite. With the added benefit of wide panoramic windows, an open cabin design, and Synthetic Vision technology, utility operators are allowed an elevated and comprehensive look into terrain, powerlines, antennas while conducting their patrols.
