Sierra Industries has announced the launch of a unique new
program called the "Sierra Value Light Jet" or "Sierra VLJ." In
making the announcement, Sierra CEO Mark Huffstutler said, "We have
designed a program to meet the need for an immediately available,
reasonably priced personal light jet. VLJ manufacturers have made
promises for years to produce personal business jets under $1
million in cost but can no longer deliver - Sierra can! Our program
will provide an alternative to start flying now in a safe, proven,
high performance, low-cost light jet at a price point of
$845,000."
Using the trusted and safe Citation 500/501SP airframe, Sierra's
"Value Light Jet" program will provide the customer with a
ready-to-go light business jet. These VLJ's are completely
overhauled and refurbished making for a "like-new" jet. The
standard Sierra VLJ will be a Cessna Citation 500 with GPS, TAWS,
new paint in Sierra's VLJ paint scheme and new executive
6-passenger interior. Suggested retail price is $845,000 (subject
to engine times and avionics packages). "In addition to our
standard package, our customers have the choice of optional
avionics upgrades including RVSM, EFIS and digital autopilots,"
Huffstutler added, "without lengthy delivery dates."
The Sierra VLJ program is designed to offer a comprehensive
package beyond the airframe itself. Coupled with the aircraft are
additional enhancements including a warranty, financing packages,
insurance programs, flight training and a buy-back option.
Leveraging Sierra's 25-year history with Citations and its
worldwide reputation, the Sierra VLJ promises to be very
successful.
"This aggressive program answers the business jet customer's
immediate needs for a reliable, safe aircraft without the wait,"
added Tom Canavera, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "At our
suggested retail price, the Sierra Value Light Jet program provides
an outstanding value business jet with, in many cases, better
performance than the many proposed VLJ's on the drawing boards."
Aircraft are available immediately for selection and delivery.
