Frontier Airlines Names New CFO

Edward Christie III Promoted From Senior Vice President

Frontier Airlines announced this week it has promoted Edward (Ted) Christie III to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Christie had been serving as Senior Vice President of Finance for the airline.

Christie joined Frontier in December 2002. He was appointed Vice President of Finance in May 2007 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in February 2008. Prior to joining Frontier, Ted was Vice President of Finance at a Denver asset-based finance institution. He had also served as a revenue economist for the taxing authority in Arizona.

"Since my return to Frontier, Ted has proven time and time again his value to the organization," said Sean Menke, President and CEO. "With the recent resignation of Paul Tate, Ted has stepped up once again in helping me manage the challenges we face today. We are truly fortunate to have someone like Ted working for us at a time like this, and I know he will do everything in his power to make this Company a success going forward."

'A time like this' refers to Frontier's April 11 entry into Chapter 11 bankruptcy... a situation the carrier is working to pull out of as soon as possible. To that end, last week the Denver, CO-based airline announced a planned 17 percent cutback in capacity... and commensurate job cuts.
