FAA Conducting GPS Interference Testing In The Southeastern U.S.

GPS Signals May Be Unreliable Through September 16

The FAA has posted a NOTAM cautioning pilots that it will be conducting GPS interference testing in the southeastern United States centered on St. Mary's, GA.

The testing is centered at 304723N/0813159W or the CRG VORTAC 004 degree radial at 27 nautical miles.

Testing began August 15 and will continue during the following dates and times:

Pilots are encouraged to report anomalies only when ATC assistance is required.

Pilots are advised to check NOTAMs frequently for possible changes prior to operations in the area. NOTAMs will be published at least 24 hours in advance of any GPS tests.
