Airborne 07.26.19-OSH19-Day 5 Redux: Sen. Inhofe's Plane Act, BendixKing, Sandia

Also: Air Cam's Powerful Upgrades... and 3rd Seat!, Delta Hawk Readies, Pedal Power Formation, Jack Pelton Intvw--Part 5

Note From The ANN E-I-C (Guy Who Takes The Blame): By the time that you read this, ANN's staff is either on its way home, at home in a semi-comatose state, or has checked in at a home for wayward Aviators for a little rest and therapy. But, as we do each year after Oshkosh, we'll be repeating the amazing week, in sequence, over the next few days so you can catch up on all you might have missed -- as we rest up and get ready for the continuation of our regular news programming on the 8th of August. This is probably the last time we can get away with taking a post-OSH break, so we're going to enjoy it as much as we can...

Oklahoma Republican Senator James Inhofe is one of the champions of General Aviation in Washington, D.C.

And the author of many of the bills that have been a benefit to GA pilots, including the Pilot’s Bill Of Rights. Inhofe’s latest effort is the Plane Act … “Promoting The Launch Of Aviation's Next Era”. And what's next may be the establishment of a national center for the advancement of aviation. Jim Campbell talked with the Senator earlier today. Bendix king made multiple announcements this week during Airventure. We caught up with Bendix King Vice President Of Marketing And Product Management Stefan Fimat to get more details. Delta Hawk is close to certification of its jet-fuel powered piston engine for general aviation airplanes. We got an update at Airventure from Dennis Webb. Air Cam has been long known as one of the world’s best low and slow camera platforms and its ability to go almost anywhere. Phil Lockwood is showing the new three-place version of the Air Cam at Airventure. He chatted about the variant with Tom Patton. A new instrument for experimental airplanes is the Sandia SI-11X Electronic Course Deviation Indicator, Or ECDI. Dennis Schmidt TOok us through the features of the instrument. It may seem like Jack Pelton has always been at the head of EAA, though he had a long aviation career prior to joining the association. In our final installment of our annual interview with Jack-- he discusses his plans for the future. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
