The 3-Pack is Back! Trusted, 2-inch Standbys Go Digital

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics 2-inch Digital Instrument Package will be on display in the Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics and True Blue Power booth, #C11417, throughout NBAA-BACE, October 17 – 19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics has introduced an all-digital version of the company’s popular 2-inch standby package. The new, digital standby family features the company’s 2-inch Digital Attitude Indicator, Digital Counter Drum Encoding Altimeter, and Digital Airspeed Indicator. All three instruments are supported by an Approved Model List (AML) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) covering more than 180 aircraft models.

“Our original mechanical, 3-Pack was the most trusted, Type Certified and STC’d standby of its day. There are thousands of these instruments still flying on aircraft and they’re ready for an upgrade,” said Van Winter, Director of Aftermarket Sales and Support for Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics. “The new digital standbys can be easily installed in one day,” Winter continued. “There’s no need to cut the panel and you can utilize the existing secondary or emergency bus. Less downtime means more flying time.”

Digital Attitude Indicator

  • Solid-state display
  • Independent attitude without the need for GPS, magnetometer or airspeed
  • Displays attitude, slip, turn rate and heading during normal or standby operation

  • Certified to 55,000 feet (16.8 kilometers) AGL
  • SSEC customization and NVIS compatible versions available

Digital Airspeed Indicator

  • Ground Speed and True Air Speed can be displayed with external ARINC input
  • User-selectable Mach number display
  • Configurable dynamic VMO/MMO barber pole indicator
