Drone Equipment Stolen From DJI Retailer In Colorado

Reportedly Made Off With Thousands Of Dollars Of Merchandise

A thief broke into the Multicopter Warehouse in Lone Tree, Colorado Sunday, making off with thousands of dollars in equipment, according to local police.

Television station KDVR reports that the thief stole two specialized drone cameras and a battery from the DJI authorized retailer. The store noticed the equipment was missing about 12:50 local time Sunday afternoon.

The suspect can be seen in a surveillance video released by the store wearing a white open-collared shirt and a dark blazer with sunglasses on his head.

Multicopter Warehouse CEO Joshua Gilson said he thinks the store was directly targeted. His store is the only DJI retail location between the east and west coasts, he said, "so clearly this guy was targeting us."

So far, there have been no suspects identified in the thefts.
