Citation Jet Pilots Association Selects New CEO

Rob Balzano Brings Decades of Experience to Citation Leadership

The world's premier group for Cessna's high-flying bizjet, the Citation Jet Pilots Owner Pilot Association (CJP), announced the selection of Rob Balzano as their Chief Executive Officer.

In welcoming Balzano to the role, the CJP took a moment to review his bonafides and resume, which cuts an impressive figure with 30+ years in high-performance aircraft. Balzano is a retired US Air Force Colonel and former F-16 pilot and IP, with years more in the DoD NG Bureau managing the logistics of their F-16/15/22 fleets. While with the Guard, he became an IP for the Boeing Business Jet ang Gulfstream G100 VIP transport, giving him chances to rub elbows with the high-flying clientele that run in those circles. Later, Balzano became Director of Aviation for Micron Technology, as well as an NBAA-Accredited Certified Aviation Manager.

“We are very excited to have Rob join our team!” said CJP Chairman Blake Curd. “Talk to anyone who has flown with or around him, and you will hear the story of a master aviator. Not only is Rob the commensurate pilot: he is also a proven, dedicated and highly regarded leader at all levels. Having Rob in the left seat at CJP alongside our dedicated team positions us for continued and new success.”

"I am honored and excited to be the next CEO of the Citation Jet Pilots Association," Balzano said. "I believe that my background of leading people and organizations, combined with my passions for aviation and building on past success to realize even greater opportunities and achievements, will help take CJP to the next level in safety, leadership and outreach.”
