AeroJones Opens Flight School In Zhenjiang, China

Operation Will Use CTLS Aircraft And A Full-Motion Simulator

AeroJones, which manufactures the Flight Design CTLS LSA in Xiamen China, has opened the region's first flight school and will use new CTLS aircraft for training.

Already functioning in the new location is a flight school operation at Dalu General Airport near Zhenjiang City. This is an important model for more flight school operations around China as a mission evolves to create many thousands of new pilots for the nation. As in many other countries, a pilot shortage is anticipated, and AeroJones believes China can become a great source of well-trained and experienced aviators to take the controls of airliners, military aircraft, and business aircraft.

The Zhenjiang flight school makes use of AeroJones’ 6-axis CTLS simulator, shown for the first time to the public at the Zhuhai airshow in fall of 2018,” said Michael Chou, who handles marketing for the Xiamen company. “The CTLS simulator has dual control(s) so an instructor can help a student learn the procedures and perform maneuvers.”

“The market is growing for Chinese general aviation,” said Chou. “The combination of new factory, a professional flight school, and the full-motion simulator are strong assets allowing AeroJones to provide the most complete light aircraft operation in China.”
