Larry Williams Has joined the Terrafugia Board of Directors, effective immediately.
With over three decades of aviation experience, Mr. Williams' expertise is in occupant protection through the integration and commercialization of emergency recovery systems across a multitude of applications. Most recently, he served as the Chief Executive Officer, President, and board member of BRS Aerospace, the developers of the whole-aircraft emergency recovery parachute system, which has documented over 300 lives saved through the deployment of its system's in actual in-air emergencies.

Prior to BRS Aerospace, Mr. Williams held the office of Vice President of Business Development for AmSafe Aviation- the world's leading manufacturer of aviation restraint systems, Group President at Rural/Metro Corporation- a provider of emergency services, and Executive Director of the Emergency Response Training Academy- a firm specializing in the training of airport emergency responders.

An active member of his local and greater aviation communities, Williams has served on the boards of the Safety Affairs and Training Committee of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), Broward Days, and the Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation, and he also is active in Junior Achievement.
Mr. Williams has a degree in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology from Eastern Kentucky University, and he is a graduate of the Aviation Safety Program at the University of Southern California (USC). He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Nuclear Weapons Technician, and in 1980 he received the Air Force Commendation Medal.
