NASA Selects Firms For Multiple Award Construction Contracts

Work To Encompass Complex Laboratory Installation To General Maintenance

NASA selected four companies to perform a variety of construction services at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, and Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, VA.

The selected contractors are Grimberg/Amatea Joint Venture of Leesburg, VA; Meltech Corp. of Landover, MD; Northeast NICC Joint Venture of Falls Church, Va.; and Biscayne Contractors of Alexandria, VA.

These firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts have a cumulative maximum ordering value of $75 million. The period of performance for all work is five years from the effective date of the contract.

Task orders issued under these contracts may include work for new construction, modification or rehabilitation of facilities, varying from routine general construction to installation of complex special test or laboratory systems. Orders also may include work on building interiors and exteriors, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and fire protection/detection. They also may include civil site work, and underground or surface utility system work.
