Boeing: No Price Cut On 737s

More Likely To Replace The Workhorse Single-Aisle Airliner Wholesale

Boeing executives said Monday they see no reason to cut the price of their ubiquitous 737 line, even as Airbus gets ready to roll out the A320neo.

While Airbus is working to reconfigure the A320 to compete with the likes of Bombardier's CSeries and China's Comac C919, Boeing has continued to say that an all-new airplane is more likely to come out of their shops with service beginning in 2019 or 2020.

The Aerospace News blog from the Seattle Post-Intellegencer indicates that Boeing has said that they feel no pressure to put the 737 on sale to better compete with the A320neo. In fact, a Boeing official told the Dow Jones Newswire that the neo is just now catching up with Boeing's economics.
