Delta Connection Academy Becomes Aerosim Flight Academy

Name Change Follows DCA's Acquisition In January

Delta Connection Academy, which was acquired by Aerosim in January of this year, has announced that the flight school will now be known as Aerosim Flight Academy. Aerosim says the new name solidifies the company's presence as a truly integrated entity in the aviation industry.

The school says the renaming of the academy is indicative of the company's strategic growth in service offerings. Aerosim's expansion enables them to more completely serve their traditional customers while offering students additional training opportunities and a recognized industry name to carry with them.

With a number of simulation-based training products already in use with commercial air carriers and training organizations world-wide, the company says its reputation for advanced technology is well established. Through the academy acquisition, Aerosim now also provides training at four U.S. campuses for first time pilots pursuing primary flight training. Students can achieve private, commercial, multi-engine and instrument ratings as well as flight instructor ratings and airline first officer courses. For the industry veteran, Aerosim says it offers initial and recurrent airline type rating training. In its entirety, Aerosim offers pilots a world renowned training partner with wide reaching industry connections.

"The evolution from Delta Connection Academy to Aerosim Flight Academy allows us to serve our cadets with a singular focus on career-oriented professional flight training," said Paul Woessner, Senior Vice President, Aerosim Flight Academy. "The entire organization is built around a vision of quality training on a technologically advanced platform. The reputation of the Aerosim name will serve cadets well as they progress into the airlines," he continued.

"The industry is looking for a partner that can provide a full range of training solutions customized to their requirements," added Aerosim CEO Dave Rapley. "Bringing our technology together with the academy's airline-based approach to professional pilot training just made sense in terms of providing a modern curriculum using advanced technology and offering an even broader range of customized training solutions. Now as we present under a unified name, we reaffirm our commitment to provide the industry with that singular partner."
