SportairUSA To Preview Sirius LSA At AirVenture 2007

High-Wing Sister Ship To The StingSport

SportairUSA, the North American distributor of the TL 2000 StingSport S-LSA, tells ANN it will preview a cabin model of the new TL 3000 Sirius at EAA AirVenture 2007.

The high-wing Sirius, manufactured by TL-Ultralight in the Czech Republic, will be constructed of the same carbon fiber composite materials as the StingSport, and powered by the Rotax 912 engine series. The aircraft sports a 48" cabin, and includes room for golf clubs in the back.

Representatives with SportairUSA say the Sirius made a very favorable impression in Europe, when it was shown at AERO Friedrichshafen earlier this year. Flight testing is expected to be completed in the fall, with aircraft ready for US delivery next year.

The SportairUSA exhibit will also include the latest versions of the StingSport, including the standard configuration along with airplanes equipped with full avionics upgrades and a dual glass cockpit.

Based in central Arkansas, SportairUSA is the North American distributor for StingSport and Sirius aircraft, Woodcomp propellers and the "GreenLine" engine monitoring system by I-K Technologies.

The StingSport was the fifth S-LSA certified in the US, and the first to incorporate as standard equipment a whole-plane ballistic recovery parachute, the Garmin nav/comm sport stack with moving map, PCAS collision avoidance, full-time carburetor heat and AmSafe 4-point inertial-reel restraints.
