Dassault Falcon Delivers First Business Jet With True VoIP Telephony

High-Speed Data And Voice Communications Over Broadband Network

The first Falcon business jet equipped with Honeywell's new MCS 7120 Swift Broadband Communications Gateway was delivered by Dassault Falcon on March 24th. The system provides a fully integrated wired and wireless cabin communication system and high speed global connectivity via the Inmarsat I4 Satellite Network. The Falcon 7X is the first business jet in the industry capable of providing fully-managed end-to-end VoIP telephony services over the Swift Broadband network. Managed VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services deliver significantly higher quality audio performance because of dedicated bandwidth to each call, assuring excellent audio fidelity.

"What this system delivers is greater connectivity and productivity which will ensure passengers can stay in touch and continue to work as they fly on domestic and international flights," said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon.

The system provides integrated voice and high-speed data communications for cabin and cockpit applications over a wide range of services including seamless use in the air or on the ground of a PDA, Blackberry, iPhone, fax or computer. The service is capable of providing more than five times the bandwidth than other services currently available.

The first Falcon 7X aircraft with the Swift Broadband Communications Gateway system was delivered in Europe and the system is available on all current production Falcon aircraft as an option.
