DART Aerospace Announced The Acquisition Of Equipment Manufacturer Paravion Technology And Century Helicopters
Paravion focuses on a wide range of accessories and OEM equipment for a range of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, often tackling underappreciated niches like environmental control systems, camera mounting systems, and ground handling units for helicopters.
The Heliporter is a signature piece of the company's portfolio, which also contains more than 70 FAA certs and 200 foreign approvals from a range of regulatory bodies. Likewise, Century Helicopters focused on its own dedicated mission range, developing expertise in the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance market. Their current ISR contracts will remain in place under DART, with more growth on the horizon, according to the president of the combined Paravion/Century. The brand will now expand to other locations under its parent brand to hold 9 locations, with 4 manufacturing centers.
The move is hoped to leverage DART's "powerful global marketing strength" and develop the company as a "one-stop mission equipment supplier" according to DART CEO Alain Madore. The diverse portfolio of Paravion will boost its parent's product portfolio to more than 1,500 STCs in all.
“This is an exciting time for Paravion and our customers,” said Larry Hansen, CEO of the newly acquired company.
“This blending of capabilities and products will provide increased support and opportunity to our current customers and, through DART’s extensive network, bring quality Paravion products to a larger share of the market.”
