True Blue Power Will Be OEM On Bell 505

TB17 Will Be Main Ship Battery On Jet Ranger X

True Blue Power announced at NBAA in Las Vegas Monday that it will provide the OEM main ship battery for the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X.

Todd Winter, president and CEO of True Blue Power, said that the TB17, which will be standard equipment on the Bell 505, represented the right equipment at the right time for Bell. "We had the product that fit their mission. It was what they needed and wanted to have on the helicopter for all the right reasons; saving weight, better engine-starting performance, and durability. So we were ready, and they came to us, and it's happening very quickly."

Winter said that Bell has become a very good customer for True Blue Power, using a number of the company's inverters for a variety of applications.

Julie Lowrance, Manager of Advertising and Public Relations for True Blue Power, said that more details would be released later by Bell Helicopter.

True Blue Power announced a number of STCs at NBAA Monday, including the TB17 for the Robinson R44 and Eurocopter AS350AStar.
