Belite Electronics Announces Dual Rate Turn Coordinator

Unit Features Rate Selection And Enhanced Rate Sensing

Belite has added a new Dual Rate Turn Coordinator to its stable of non-certified instruments. This new instrument features a dual position switch, allowing selection of different turn rates while in flight. As an example of usage, an experimental aircraft owner might desire the ability to practice standard two minute turns, and also have the ability to display rate info for faster one minute turns. Another potential application is for glider pilots who might select a faster rate based on the need to stay in a tight thermal.

The Dual Rate Turn Coordinator also features faster response to aircraft turn input, along with tighter centering of the turn rate, thus providing more accurate turn rate feedback to the pilot.

This exciting new instrument is available in the following turn rate combinations:
- 2 minute / 1 minute (Belite Part # DTCC-010:120, 1.75” square; DTCC-020:120, 2.25” round; DTCC-030:120, 3x2x1 box with self-contained battery) (recommended for general aviation and experimental use).
- 1 minute / 30 second Belite Part # DTCC-010:60, 1.75” square; DTCC-020:60, 2.25” round; DTCC-030:60, 3x2x1 box with self-contained battery) (recommended for experimental and glider usage).
- 45 second / 20 second Belite Part # DTCC-010:45, 1.75” square; DTCC-020:45, 2.25” round; DTCC-030:45, 3x2x1 box with self-contained battery) (recommended for paragliders and ultralight aircraft).

Other configuration rates are available on request. Contact Belite for further information. All configurations are priced at $299.95 and will be available September 2013. Belite’s products are neither PMA nor TSO certified. They may be installed only in experimental aircraft. General aviation usage requires purchase of the box configuration.

Belite Electronics provides innovative, lightweight, affordable instruments for ultralight, experimental  and light aircraft.
