Aero-News Alert: Christen Eagle Stolen From New Smyrna (FL) Airport

ANN REALTIME REPORTING 06.22.06 1130 EDT: One of our ANN News-Spies has alerted us to a stolen aircraft in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

A Christen Eagle aerobatic biplane, N54CE (photos above and below) was stolen from a T-Hangar at the New Smyrna Beach Municipal airport (EVB) sometime between Monday evening after 9:00 pm, and Wednesday morning at 11:45 am. According to Rhonda Walker, Assistant Public Works Director for the city, there were no signs of forced entry and nothing else in the hangar was disturbed.

Pilots who have their planes hangared at EVB are advised to check that your plane is in your hangar, and to make sure the hangar doors are secure.

If anyone has any information on the theft, they are urged to contact Ms. Walker, orthe New Smyrna Beach Police Department, available through the FMI links below.
