At Least They're Getting Faster...

Quick Investigation Finds No Breach At DFW Terminal

From DFW Airport...

The Transportation Security Administration and the DFW International Airport Department of Public Safety responded to a possible security breach in Terminal C at approximately 1510 local on Monday.

TSA screeners reported that two passengers went through the security checkpoint at Terminal C-10 by walking in between the two magnetometers stationed there, instead of through them.

Security screeners from the TSA asked those passengers to return to the magnetometers and go through routine screening procedures.

One TSA screener, believing there may have been a third person who went in between the detection devices, advised that a security breach may have occurred and the Terminal's checkpoints and gates were subsequently shut down.  The Airport Train's entrances were also shut down briefly.

During the ensuing investigation, the TSA and DFW's Department of Public Safety determined that no other person went through the security screening checkpoint and that there was, in fact, no security breach.  The Terminal was not evacuated, and disruption to air operations was minimal with only 23 flight delays reported.
