CAE Grows Its Pilot Training Footprint In Southeast Asia

Deploys First Full-Flight Simulator  In Indonesia

CAE has expanded its training footprint in Southeast Asia, through a collaboration with the Jakarta Aviation Training Center (JATC). Through this collaboration, CAE will deploy its first-ever owned full-flight simulator (FFS) in Indonesia, supporting the growing pilot training needs of airline customers in the region, such as AirAsia Indonesia. The Airbus A320 FFS will be delivered to JATC's training facilities near Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in the Fall of 2017.

"With Asia-Pacific being one of the fastest-growing markets in commercial aviation, we are extremely proud to expand our training network with the deployment of our first-ever first full-flight simulator in Indonesia," Nick Leontidis, CAE's Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions, said making the announcement at the 2017 Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS). "It is an honor to build on our relationship with JATC and to support the increasing pilot training needs of airline customers across the region."

"We are honored to partner with the worldwide leader in training CAE to provide increasing pilot training capacity to airline customers in Southeast Asia such as AirAsia Indonesia," said Arif Syafrie, President Director of JATC. "We look forward to further successful collaborations long into the future."
