Duncan Aviation Creates Live STC Database

System Has Been Online For Three Weeks, Has Received 20 Requests

Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services department has created a searchable database of the Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) that Duncan Aviation has developed and has available for sale. This database can be accessed at www.DuncanAviation.aero/services/engineering.

In the three weeks the database has been live, the company has received 20 requests for quotes for its listed STCs. Many of the STCs had not been previously available for sale outside of Duncan Aviation, and even though some of them have been widely used in business aviation, many owner/operators may not have realized that these STCs existed or were part of the Duncan Aviation STC database.

The first requests were for STCs related to Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B), Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS), and Connectivity for Cessnas, Hawkers, and Challengers, to name a few.

“We’ve been providing engineering and certification services for our customers for more than 30 years, and featuring our STC database on our website gives our customers an idea of the range of STC solutions we hold and now have made available for sale,” says Manager of Engineering & Certification Services Business Development Shawn Carraher. “We also want to encourage customers to contact us with questions if they don’t see an STC for their specific aircraft or need. The posted list of STCs is not exhaustive, as Duncan Aviation holds more than 500 STCs.”

There are two ways to search the STC database: by Aircraft or by STC Category. Searching by aircraft lets Duncan Aviation’s customers narrow the search for available STCs according to the make/model of their aircraft. Searching by STC category lets customers search by the type of STC Duncan Aviation has developed: ADS-B, Broadband & Wi-Fi, FANS, Interior, Iridium and many other categories.

“We anticipate fielding a great deal of traffic from this site. Since it has recently been made available outside the Duncan Aviation enterprise, our Engineering & Certification Services have been in higher demand for a diverse group of projects,” says Carraher. “We’ve added capacity to our team this past year and now have added this database to our website in order to make our team and our services more accessible to our customers around the globe.”
