HAI/FAA Safety Team Set Presentations In Minneapolis

Two Sessions Focusing On Helicopter Rules And Safety

the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) and HAI will be presenting two events at the Hilton Hotel, Minneapolis, MN, on June 9th.

First at 0930, "Overview of Current Trends in Helicopter Safety" is a combined event for pilots and maintenance technicians for commercial operators. The IHST will present safety information on hazard identification including recent review of rotorcraft accident trends. Topics will include the latest in Safety Management Systems (SMS), as well as tools that operators can use now to mitigate risks in operations and maintenance practices.. Presenters for the session are Stan Rose, director of Safety for HAI; Fred Brisbois of Sikorsky and the International Helicopter Safety Team (IHST); and William Law, program manager for the Great Lakes FAASTeam.

Then at 1900, "Helicopters Rule!" will focus on how to promote a positive safety culture within the rotorcraft community. The latest and greatest in what's happening in rotorcraft operations and maintenance safety. Stan Rose will be presenting: "Reckoning - Dead and Otherwise."
