ANN's 'Who's Who' At Oshkosh: Maxine Scheer

Introducing Staff, Stringers, Videographers, And People Who Make It All Work

Anyone who's ever been to Oshkosh knows that there are hundreds of events and activities as well as tens of thousands of people that descend (some quite literally) on Wittman Regional Airport in mid-summer. While we have a very hard-working and dedicated staff, ANN could not provide you with the extensive information we do without the help of some equally ... some might say more ... dedicated volunteers who give a week of their time to make sure you have the best possible coverage of the show. As we lead up to this year's edition of AirVenture, we'll be introducing you to the people that make all of that possible.

Maxine "Max" Scheer: Stringer

Maxine ... better known at ANN Oshkosh HQ as Max ... returns to AirVenture for her 12th consecutive year with ANN.  Max has over 35 years’ experience in the aviation industry. Max earned a B.S. and her private pilot certificate at ERAU, Daytona Beach (DBA) campus, and is President of a research and consulting firm, Scheer Intelligence, based in Los Angeles. Her career includes airport planning and development, construction management, and research in aviation and surface transportation policy, funding and project delivery. Scheer Intelligence clients plan, design and build mega infrastructure projects and rely on Max to sift through the jargon and provide solid business intelligence.

Max will be sifting through AirVenture 2018 to find the great stories, big and small, on innovation, women in aviation, aviation education, and many other topics and programs. Max is especially excited at this year's great line up of aviation films and exploring what is new in the Innovation Pavilion. Her two sons, now ages 15 and 13, have grown up knowing that when you hear a warbird taking off from Van Nuys Airport, it’s time to run outside, and when mid-summer comes around, moms go to Oshkosh - or at least their mom does.
