2005 COMM1 Aviation Scholarship Program Announced

Helping Young Pilots Get The (Expensive) Training They Need

The Board of Directors at e-Publishing Group says it will host the Fifth Annual COMM1 Aviation Scholarship Program for 2005.

This scholarship represent funding to assist young aspiring aviators with the training required to pursue a career in aviation and to help defray tuition and flight training expenses. The Annual COMM1 Aviation Scholarship Program is at the core of an ongoing series of efforts by the developers of COMM1 Radio Simulators to raise awareness about the importance of pilot communications proficiency at all levels of flight training.

The total award for the 2005 COMM1 Aviation Scholarship will be $1,000 and will be distributed to an individual scholarship recipient. The recipient will be selected from a pool of qualified applicants who have met the published eligibility requirements available on COMM1’s website  by writing to e-Publishing Group. The application period begins June 1 and closes on September 30, 2005. The scholarship award will be announced during the AOPA Expo 2005 in Tampa, FL, November 3-5, 2005.

In addition to demonstrating an interest in pursuing a career in aviation, scholarship applicants will be asked to submit a brief 75-word essay that describes an experience where radio communications with ATC has had a dramatically positive or negative impact on the safety of a flight.
