Donald Trump Eyes Top FAA Post

‘I’ll Show Them How To Privatize’, Real Estate Mogul Says

ANN April 1 Special Edition

Real estate mogul, reality TV star, and GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump said that if his Presidential aspirations are not realized, he thinks there could be a place for him in the next administration no matter who is elected.

In an unguarded moment that was captured by an open microphone, Trump said that he would love to be the next Administrator of the FAA.

“The FAA … that’d be a pretty good gig. They want somebody who can privatize? I’ll show them how to privatize,” Trump mused as he was leaving a campaign rally. “I’ll tell you what. There are so many government functions that could be better run by a guy like me. But the FAA … I spend so much time jetting around to my properties … I’d be a natural for the job. Just let me get started. Geofencing? I’ll build a geofence for all those drones and get somebody else to pay for it. Nobody can privatize like I can. I’m the king of privatization. But there won’t be anything ‘non-profit’ about it. It HAS to make money.”

Trump also said he’d probably rename the agency the “Trump Aviation Administration”.

Trump also said he’d make the ‘TAA’ a major player in negotiating contracts between airlines and their various unions. “Nobody makes deals like I do, and I care about the little guy and big businesses. I’m a natural, and since they all play in the same playground, you’d see a much more efficient system if I was heading up the agency.”

The idea was met with what can only be described as stunned silence from advocacy groups, airlines, and unions.
