Auction Proceeds Support Life Saving Flights For Cancer Patients
The annual NBAA/CAN Soiree, An Evening With Angels, held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at The Hilton Orlando, is one of the best networking events at the 2016 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE). This special event will raise critical funds to support the Corporate Angel Network (CAN), whose mission is to help cancer patients access the best possible treatment for their specific type of cancer by utilizing empty seats on existing corporate flights.
The fun-filled evening will begin with networking, cocktails and a silent auction, which will include over 100 incredible items, such as, autographed sports memorabilia, brand new electronics, distinctive children's packages and much more. Following the networking hour will be delicious cuisine and a live auction, led by Spanky Assiter of Barret Jackson Fame. Priceless trips, experiences, and other surprises will be available for bid. When the auction concludes, the dance floor opens for those who wish to stay and further celebrate the evening.
The funds from these auctions will help CAN continue its important work of arranging flights all over the country that cancer patients need for crucial treatment. CAN coordinates more than 225 patient flights each month and has arranged more than 50,000 patient flights since its founding in 1981.
New to the event this year will be electronic bidding by BidPal, which will allow for seamless and more efficient bidding - all through the convenience of a smart phone. Advanced website bidding will also be available.
