New Updates For EasyVFR

PocketFMS Foundation Says Updates Available For All Platforms

The PocketFMS Foundation has released EasyVFR 3.9 on all supported platforms. The newest version holds several much anticipated new features.

The new features are proof of continuing commitment to an ever expanding base of loyal customers, the company says. “The features we included in our latest update are answers to requests made by our customers during last year," said CEO Rob Weijers. "Precipitation radar and a new airspace labelling system are good examples.”

But there are also brand new features that only became possible after recent market developments, says Marcel Knol, part of the PocketFMS development and support team: “With bluetooth functionality becoming more mainstream in aviation headsets, we decided to utilize this functionality to stream aural warnings and spoken guidance directly over the headphone of our user.”

What’s new in EasyVFR 3.90:

  • Precipitation radar including animation for central Europe.
  • New smart airspace labels that always stay upright regardless of map orientation for quick and easy reading.
  • Voice spoken warnings for airspaces, obstacles, flight plans, traffic avoidance.
  • New "Overview Mode" when fully zooming out to get a quick overview of your route and the weather

The update is available from both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
