Now Leads Marketing Effort At IndUS

Scott Severen is the new marketing honcho at IndUS Aviation, having been named as Director of Sales and Marketing for North America.

IndUS Aviation, Inc., based in Dallas, Texas, builds the FAA Normal Category certified Thorp T211 to include certification under the new Light Sport Aircraft rule, and availability as a 51% Experimental kit plane.

Severen's new position follows more than 20 years in the sport and recreational aviation industry where he was past president of TEAM Aircraft, Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association, Airpark Owners and Operators Association, and the US Ultralight Association, and was a participating charter member of the original FAA ARAC (Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee) that recommended the new Sport Pilot and Light Sport Aircraft rules.

"I am very excited to use my experience to build on the existing excellent relationships that Indus Aviation has developed" said Severen, "These are great times for recreational flying!"

"With Scott's history in the recreational aviation field, we are delighted he has joined us to help better serve existing and new pilots that are looking for 'just plane fun.' The time he has spent working with the many people that make up the industry will prove invaluable" said company owner, Ram Pattisapu.

John Thorp, whose many designs include the Piper Cherokee and the T18, certified the T211 to be a safe and fun to fly airplane. The T211 Sport E offers the some of the best handling qualities and low operating costs available in this spectrum of aviation.
