EAA's Timeless Voices of Aviation

Speak Up

Been around aviation a while? Don't miss your opportunity to share your aviation stories at AirVenture. EAA's Timeless Voices of Aviation video oral history program staff and volunteers will be recording interviews throughout the week.

Under the banner, "Let No Story Go Untold,"  Volunteers have been working diligently over the past three years to permanently record firsthand accounts of the men and women who have designed, built, tested, flown, and fought in aircraft since the Wright Brothers' first took flight in 1903.

They are doing this to help families remember their past, to inspire students with the ingenuity and "can-do" attitude of our nation's aircraft designers and engineers, and to help us all remember the sacrifices of the military veterans who have given us our freedom.

Numerous EAA Chapters and volunteers have helped by conducting interviews with aviation pioneers in their own hometowns, cities, and states. Together, the program is preserving an aviation folklore that is otherwise in danger of being lost forever.

Program staff and volunteers will be recording interviews throughout the week. AirVenture visitors can register to tell their stories at the Timeless Voices of Aviation tent in the Warbirds area of the convention grounds, or at the Development Pavilion just southeast of the FAA control tower.

You're invited to stop by and learn more about this important heritage preservation initiative of the EAA AirVenture Museum.
