Clifford Development Appoints Re-engining Service Center

Great Lakes Aviation AZO Will Support Citation II & S/II Programs

Clifford Development announced this week at NBAA 2007 the appointment of Great Lakes Aviation AZO as a service center to support the company’s Citation II and Citation S/II re-engining programs.

Under terms of the contract, Great Lakes Aviation AZO of Kalamazoo, MI will provide complete sales, installation and service support for Citation II and S/II owners who purchase the Clifford engine STC. Service centers will receive technical support and complete installation kits from Clifford Development including engines, engine mounts, nacelles, all service documentation and pilot operating handbook documents with new performance charts for the modified airplanes. Installation time for new engines is estimated at six weeks.

“We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Great Lakes Aviation AZO as a service center,” said Jim Clifford, chief executive officer of Clifford Development. He added, “Great Lakes Aviation AZO is a newly merged company that has been formed to bring together deep experience in aviation engineering, modification, maintenance and aircraft flight management. This organization will be an important addition to our customer service capacity.”

As ANN reported, Clifford Development is in the midst of Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) development programs to re-engine Cessna Citation II (CE-550) and the Cessna Citation S/II (CE-S550) aircraft with 3000 lb thrust Williams International FJ44-3A engines.
