Mid-Canada Mod Center Completes Avionics Design Services Ltd. Acquisition

Canadian Avionics Mod Shop And Design Firm To Offer Fully Integrated Services

The acquisition of Canadian aviation engineering firm Avionics Design Services Ltd. by Mid-Canada Mod Center (MC2) is now complete, according to the company. The acquisition agreement was announced in 2018 and the transaction was completed September 1, 2019. Combined MC2 and ADS offer deeply integrated avionics system design and engineering, comprehensive certification services, and of course, expert installation and repair services.

“Merging the MC2 and ADS teams has given us greater momentum as we build a world-class fully-integrated avionics business,” notes Bill Arsenault, president of Mid-Canada Mod Center. “With such a vast array of services under one roof, so to speak, we are able to reduce the time it takes to develop the deeply integrated solutions our corporate and commercial customer base demand, while also providing a full range of avionics system support services. Together we are able to react more efficiently to client needs, which means they are the true beneficiaries of what we set out to do with the acquisition.”

“Over the past year, we’ve felt the positive effects of combining two entities with vast experience, a common culture and a desire to deliver the most effective solutions to our respective and mutual clients,” says Bob Gow, president, ADS division. “While we previously teamed-up on a broad variety of leading edge STCs and successful projects, the combined team’s capabilities continue to strengthen and grow, with a focus on meeting the specialized technical requirements of business, commercial and special missions aircraft operators.”
