New President of Gulfstream; Bill Boisture Retires

General Dynamics recently announced the appointment of Bryan T. Moss (right) as president of Gulfstream Aerospace, reporting to Nicholas D. Chabraja, General Dynamics chairman and CEO. Moss had been vice chairman of Gulfstream since 1995. He succeeds W.W. Boisture, Jr. who has announced his retirement from General Dynamics and Gulfstream.

"Bill Boisture has played a major role in the success and growth of Gulfstream for almost 10 years," said Chabraja. "He had the vision to expand Gulfstream's product line, positioning it to capture additional market share. Bill also led a significant re-engineering effort at Gulfstream, making it more efficient and competitive. We accept his decision with regret, but wish him well."

Boisture said, "Gulfstream could have no better parent for the long term than General Dynamics. It has been my privilege to work with the best team in business aviation, and I know Gulfstream will continue its leadership of the industry."

"Bryan Moss has the experience and judgment to lead Gulfstream through the challenging times ahead," Chabraja said. "He has been an important member of Gulfstream's leadership team, with deep understanding of all aspects of business aviation. I have great confidence that Bryan will make sure Gulfstream continues to deliver solid earnings, and to outperform its competition."

Before he joined Gulfstream in 1995 as vice chairman, Moss had been president of the Business Aircraft Division of Bombardier Aerospace Group since 1992. He had joined Canadair in 1979 in sales; he became vice president - sales in 1984, and executive vice president of sales in 1986, the year Canadair became part of Bombardier. The following year, he was named president of Canadair Challenger. Moss began his aerospace career at Lockheed - Georgia Company.

He is a member of the Flight Safety Foundation Board of Governors, the Council on Foreign Relations Mid-East Peace Process International Advisory Board, the U.S.-Japan Business Council, the U.S.-China Business Council, the U.S.-Hong Kong Business Council, and the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council.

Moss is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
