Offering Up To $500,000 In Funding
Krypto Labs, an emerging hub for innovators from around the world located in Abu Dhabi, has announced the launch of a new global contest for startups to recognize the top innovators in drone technology. The contest aims to acknowledge the growing importance of the technology that will redefine the conventional wisdom around aerial mobility and its entrepreneurial potential.
The contest will cover all relevant sectors including aerial photography, transportation and logistics, disaster management, search and rescue operations, terrestrial mapping, building management, law enforcement surveillance, and weather forecasting. DISC 2018 will be open to individuals, teams, university students and companies from around the world.
Contestants will be able to apply during a period of three months, starting the second half of January 2018 till the second half of April 2018. The winner will have the opportunity to receive the tailored services of the Krypto Labs incubator program, introduction to its global network and up to $500,000 in funding.
“We want to encourage applications from students who are thinking about making a prototype on one end, and budding companies looking for recognition for their innovations on the other end. Apply to DISC 2018 and showcase the potential of your drone technology,” said Dr. Saleh Al Hashemi, Managing Director of Krypto Labs.
In October, Krypto Labs successfully completed the Krypto Labs Startup Contest 2017 and announced the winner from a pool of more than 2,000 applications.
