Life Flight Network, PeaceHealth Oregon Network Renew First Call Agreement

Designed To Improve Care For Critical Patients

Life Flight Network and PeaceHealth Oregon Network announced they renewed a First Call Agreement. The agreement improves patient care and operational efficiency for patients at hospitals in Eugene, Springfield, Cottage Grove, and Florence, Oregon, who need ICU level medical transportation. PeaceHealth and Life Flight Network work collaboratively to move patients who require the highest level of care available during transport, or when a time sensitive emergency exists.

PeaceHealth is a not-for-profit health care system with medical centers, critical access hospitals, and medical clinics located in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Life Flight Network is an Oregon-based company and has served the area for nearly four decades. With the closest medical helicopters in Cottage Grove, Newport, and Aurora, Oregon, Life Flight Network strategically places resources to best serve the area.  Each helicopter is staffed with a highly trained and experienced crew, consisting of an ICU trained flight nurse, flight paramedic, and pilot.

Tim Herrmann, Chief Administrative Officer for PeaceHealth Cottage Grove, states: "PeaceHealth Oregon Network has had the privilege of sharing a close and collaborative clinical relationship with Life Flight Network for many years. Life Flight Network's commitment to the communities and surrounding regional areas they serve is peerless. Clinical quality and safety is evident in all aspects of their operations and service delivery. We are fortunate to have such a great partner."

Jacob Dalstra, Regional Director for Life Flight Network, says of the First Call Agreement: "Life Flight Network and PeaceHealth's partnership ensures timely and high-quality care is provided for each patient requiring critical care transport. We look forward to continuing our relationship for years to come."

For a nominal annual fee, Life Flight Network offers membership options. Members incur no out-of-pocket expense if flown for medically necessary emergent conditions by Life Flight Network or one of our reciprocal partners.
