DIMDEX 2020 Cancelled Due To Covid-19 Virus

Show Had Been Planned For Qatar

The Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition And Conference (DIMDEX 2020) has been cancelled.

In a statement posted on the event website, organizers said that their decision follows the cancellation of a number of global events, including the Mobile World Conference in Spain, ITB in Germany and the Geneva International Auto Show, due to the worldwide outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, also known as the Coronavirus.

The DIMDEX 2020 organizing committee has been consulting with public health officials and the Government of the State of Qatar regarding the status of the event, and after extensive consideration, the organizing committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the event.

"Though the risk to the general public in Qatar remains low, our primary concern remains the health and welfare of all residents and visitors to Qatar and for this reason the event will no longer be held.

"We express our gratitude for your continued support and look forward to welcome you to the next event edition," the statement said.
