SocialFlight Adds Hundreds Of Aviation Destinations

Expanded List Of Aerial Tours Also Added To The Site

SocialFlight kicked off opening day of AirVenture 2015 with their announcement they are a "go-to" source for finding interesting Aviation Destinations and Aerial Tours with the introduction of SocialFlight HotSpots.

SocialFlight HotSpots include hundreds of interesting flying destinations such as aviation attractions, museums, aviation-accessible beaches and much more.  Examples include a fly-in visit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which is within walking distance of the Burke Lakefront Airport (KBKL) in Detroit, and the New York’s Old Reinbeck Aerodrome where visitors can see some of the rarest pre-WWI aircraft in the world still flying every summer weekend.

SocialFlight HotSpots also include Aerial Tours with instructions for touring interesting metro, geological or historical areas.  One SocialFlight user recently added an aerial tour of Niagara Falls, complete with route suggestions and even photos.

SocialFlight HotSpots include general information, tips, photos and route maps. SocialFlight HotSpots is accessible through SocialFlight.com and the SocialFlight Mobile Apps for Apple and Android phones and tablets For ground-based aviation enthusiasts, the apps even include turn-by-turn driving guidance.

SocialFlight HotSpots is an integral part of the popular, SocialFlight mobile app and web suite used by tens of thousands of pilots to help them find Aircraft Fly-ins, Air Shows, Pancake Breakfasts, Conventions, FAA Safety Seminars and much more; over 20,000 events catalogued to date.  It also includes over 300,000 POI’s, such as restaurants, attractions, lodging and more; all within walking distance of airports.  All of the information within SocialFlight is carefully curated by the SocialFlight team, but is also continuously growing with the help of regular SocialFlight users.  Every SocialFlight user has the ability to add events and HotSpots instantly to the SocialFlight app with only a few clicks on their PC or mobile device.

"The SocialFlight community reaches over 200,000 SocialFlight users through our apps, web and partner sites in the media and aviation organizations.” said Jeff Simon, President of SocialFlight. “Our users have been looking to expand their flying adventures with a single resource for interesting destinations and aerial adventures, and we are excited to continually deliver on our promise to be the leading, free resource that gives pilots everywhere more reasons to fly whenever possible.”
