Paragon Network ‘Elevates FBO Safety Expectations and Training in 2024’

E-Learning Makes Training Easier Than Ever

Paragon Aviation group has spent 2024 doubling down on 'Safety', one of 5 pillars of business the FBO purveyor centers its operations on.

The other four pillars of Paragon are 'Quality', 'Reliability', 'Value', and 'Service', all part of the mandatory Paragon Aviation Group mission. This year, they're homing in on Safety in every way they can, starting off 2024 with new procedures and programs to make sure personnel are safer and more professional than ever. Paragon has continued funding its Online Safety Officer Program for all network FBOs worldwide, now in its 4th year. That program "provides consistent, industry-leading safety communication, training, and regulatory compliance through monthly safety meetings" for any who want to take advantage of it, 'regardless of the FBO's size, staffing level, or stage of SMS'. It's a convenient framework for those looking for an effective safety promotion and comms program to meet a number of IS-BAH and SMS requirements. Paragon notes that their Strategic Partner and safety expert, Polaris Aero has largely taken the lead on the OSO program this year, leveraging their in-house software services. Polaris' work streamlines and simplifies safety for line personnel, managers, and ops management, but the VOCUS cloud apps are the most commonly seen element of the family portfolio. VOCUS apps are a frequent fixture for the rank and file, distributing the Safety System's e-learning modules, risk assessment, and safety management systems.

Coinciding with its Safety push is Paragon's encouragement of all FBO members to complete their annual Gulfstream Ground Handling and Service Training. Gulfstream tapped the biggest name in the business aviation safety game, FlightSafety International to develop a series of online courses for line service techs helping them survive their time on the tarmac. That course specifically focuses on Gulfstream gear, unsurprisingly, but general-use aspects of the training are helpful for anyone moving millions of dollars of metal every day.

"Paragon's dedication to safety signifies a commitment to our members. Recognizing that operators prioritize a secure experience when selecting their FBO or Handling Agent, we find it crucial to offer our members the chance to interact with the Polaris Aero team and mutually benefit from shared insights," said Megan Barnes, President of Paragon Aviation Group. "Our members, who are industry leaders, consistently prioritize operational safety. Collaborating with esteemed safety experts such as Polaris Aero, Gulfstream, and FlightSafety International is a source of pride for us."
