Parker Hosts Webinar for Engine Mounts, Shimmy Damper Usage

Engineered Materials Group Offers Presentation on Engine Mounting, Installation, Maintenance

Parker Lord is providing a webinar covering some of their general aviation systems, in everything from design and installation to maintenance and ownership.

The presentation will be headed by Emily Mogel, Mechanical Engineering specialist at Parker Lord. Given its branded nature, the webinar will carry a decided focus on the utility of company equipment in a few key areas, like the technical design of engine mounts for GA use, their installation & upkeep, and the firm's "unique fluid-free shimmy dampers."

Mogel's place in the shimmy damper development process has given her consistent insight into the Parker product's use, and development, stretching back to 2021. Where traditional dampers are subject to fluid degradation and leaking, the Parker version uses bonded elastomeric pistons. The company says the end result is a shimmy damper that requires no refilling, replacement, rebuilding or measurement over legacy fluid-based systems.
