Aero-TV: ForeFlight Web - Web-Based Flight Planning From ForeFlight

Flight Planning Software Powerhouse Keeps Raising The Bar

Sun ‘n Fun 2015 gave ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, the opportunity to look at ForeFlight’s new product referred to as “ForeFlight Web.”

Tom met with Ryan McBride, the lead product designer for ForeFlight. The short story of this new product is that you can simply plan a flight on your home computer, transfer the flight on to your iPad ForeFlight app, and have everything in place and ready to go when it’s time to fly.

McBride points out that no special software is needed for this new feature. The planning is all done through ForeFlight.com, and it looks like you would expect ForeFlight flight planning to look. In other words, you don’t have to learn a new program.

While McBride demonstrates the process on a computer, he also demonstrates some of the new features involved with ForeFlight flight planning. This home flight planning feature is one more step towards planning ahead. As the video continues you’ll see an actual demonstration of how some of the new features are used, and you’ll see what they look like. Whether you are just thinking about using ForeFlight, or are an experienced user, this video is great for learning the new features.
