Jeppesen and MGL Avionics, which makes instruments for the light sport and experimental aircraft markets, have entered into an agreement to provide Jeppesen NavData and obstacle services for MGL Avionics systems. The Jeppesen flight data now available for MGL Avionics systems serves as part of a total Jeppesen light sport and experimental aircraft solution suite.

"Jeppesen and MGL Avionics have teamed to provide our customers with the most accurate and timely flight information available, including Jeppesen's industry leading navigational data," said Rainier Lamers, CEO, MGL Avionics. "MGL Avionics glass cockpit aviators customize their avionics displays to their preference and we are pleased to offer Jeppesen data as part of a complete information solution."

Jeppesen NavData, obstacles, terrain, and charting solutions are available for third party integrations supporting a wide variety of applications and hardware solutions, including those within light sport and experimental aircraft avionics systems. Data updates are completed easily and conveniently using Jeppesen Services Update Manager software. "Jeppesen's world-class NavData information is now available for the dynamic light sport and experimental pilots who integrate MGL Avionics systems with their aircraft," said Scott Reagan, director, Jeppesen OEM Client Management. "Jeppesen data and charting solutions are the first choice of innovators and aviation enthusiasts associated with this exciting market and we look forward to serving MGL Avionics customers for their flight information needs."

Jeppesen NavData and obstacle services are available for the MGL Avionics EFIS systems, including the full color Enigma, Voyager and Odyssey. Coverage areas include Contiguous USA, East-Central USA, West-Central USA, North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Eurasia, the Middle East, the Pacific region, and Worldwide.

Jeppesen NavData is developed from a comprehensive aviation database, which is composed of more than one million records. To ensure accuracy, Jeppesen flight information analysts edit and verify approximately 150,000 database transactions generated from worldwide aviation data source documents during every 28-day revision cycle. This intensive process ensures that NavData provided for systems such as MGL Avionics is the most complete and accurate flight information available.
