Quest Aircraft Sticks With Supplier For Customer Planes
Wichita, KS-based Millennium Concepts, Inc. recently earned an
order for follow-on production interiors from Quest Aircraft for
its Kodiak turboprop utility airplane.
Millennium developed and certified the interior of the Kodiak in
close coordination with the Sandpoint, ID-based airframe
manufacturer. The configuration includes 21G passenger and 26G crew
seats.
"We’re extremely pleased to receive this order for
fabrication and assembly of the seats and interior as a follow-on
to the engineering, documentation, certification, and supply chain
management we’ve provided for Quest on the Kodiak," said
Simon Hornblow, Millennium Concept’s program director for the
airplane. "This is a relationship that we hope will continue to
grow as the airplane enters service."
Millennium Concepts supplies components for the Kodiak's three
interior packages--the Tundra, Timberline, and Summit. The eight-
to- 10-passenger configurations will offer a range from rugged
utility to a business-aircraft style design.
Millennium Concepts is involved in the development and
certification of aircraft interiors for a variety of commercial
aircraft, ranging from single engine, single pilot airplanes to
VVIP wide body jets. Since its founding in 1999, it has provided
engineering and related services, including "turn-key" designs,
fabrication and completions for aircraft interiors on models
ranging from the Cessna Grand Caravan to the Boeing Business
Jet.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted Quest Aircraft
a type certificate earlier this year.
