SJ30-2 Customer Aircraft Mass Production Underway

Deliveries to Start Later This Year

Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corp. (SSAC) announced Thursday that mass production of customer aircraft has begun at its production facilities. FAA certification of the SJ30-2 is on schedule and expected later this year.

"In the last two years we have progressed at an exceptionally high rate for the FAA certification and will accomplish virtually everything necessary within a few months, "says Dr. Carl L. Chen, CEO and President. "Now we are concentrating our efforts on providing the ultimate light jet to the business world. First delivery is targeted before the end of this year."

Building the SJ30-2 is accomplished in two of SSAC's large production facilities. The Martinsburg, West Virginia SSAC facility manufactures the fuselage and main wings. The wings and fuselage are then shipped to the SSAC facilities at San Antonio, Texas. The Texas facilities houses final assembly, jigs and tooling for the new SJ30-2 business jet.

Customer aircraft Serial number 0006 has been mated with the wings, tail assembly, and landing gear and has moved out of the mating jig to its next production position in the San Antonio facility.

Customer aircraft Serial Number 0007 fuselage and wings are near completion at the Martinsburg facilities and about to be shipped to San Antonio for assembly in the mating jig. Lean manufacturing systems are setting up in both facilities.

Customer aircraft serial numbers 0008 through 0012 are in various stages of mass production.
