GAMA Welcomes Three New Members

AIR, Archer and DBT Aero Join The Association

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association revealed the addition of AIR, Archer, and DBT Aero as Associate Members EPIC on September 9, 2021.

AIR is based in Pardes Hana, Israel, and was founded in 2018. They are developing personal use electric vertical and takeoff aircraft with a focus on a combination of aerospace innovation, automotive technology and FAA approved safety standards.

Archer’s team is based out of Palo Alto, California and is designing and developing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for use in Urban Air Mobility. Their mission is to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility, with a goal to move people throughout the world's cities in a quick, safe, sustainable, and cost-effective manner.

DBT Aero, was formed in 2019 to commercialize advanced, integrated drag reduction—the Synergy Technology Platform—believing it’s more efficient and effective to reduce drag than increase power. They pioneer energy efficient, affordable, remarkably quiet and community friendly manned/unmanned aircraft that are faster, more stable and carry heavier payloads farther utilizing multiple, sustainable propulsion systems. Their offices are located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Kalispell, Montana.

To become a member of GAMA, according to their website, applicants must have a demonstrated history and high standard of corporate ethics and a sustained commitment to improving aviation safety. They must also be a company or business unit directly responsible for and primarily engaged in the production or manufacture of general aviation products and have annual gross general aviation sales exceeding US$ 2.5 million.
