Embraer Details New Management Plans

BoD Approves Changes Effective January 2009

Embraer's Board of Directors, in a meeting held on September 12, approved the planning for the following changes in the Company's organizational structure, effective January 1, 2009.

  • Consistent with their retirement plans, Antonio Luiz Pizarro Manso, Executive Vice President, Finance & CFO, and Satoshi Yokota, Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning and Technology Development, will be succeeded, respectively, by Luiz Carlos Siqueira Aguiar and Emilio Kazunoli Matsuo, members of Embraer's senior management team;
  • Luiz Carlos Siqueira Aguiar, currently Executive Vice President, Defense and Government Market, will be succeeded by Orlando José Ferreira Neto, who now is the Managing Director, Embraer Asia Pacific (EAP). The new Managing Director, Embraer Asia Pacific (EAP), shall be named, soon;
  • Emilio Kazunoli Matsuo, currently Senior Vice President, Engineering, will be named Executive Vice President, Technology, resulting from the integration of the present areas of Technology Development and of Engineering. The responsibility for Strategic Planning will be absorbed by the new CFO;
  • Antonio Luiz Pizarro Manso and Satoshi Yokota will take an active role in the respective transition processes, and will remain available for consulting services to Embraer, as needed, in their respective fields of expertise.
