JetBlue Appoints Teri McClure To Board Of Directors

Unanimously Approved By The Carrier's Board

JetBlue has appointed Teri P. McClure to its board of directors. The independent director appointment is effective immediately, following unanimous approval by the company’s board of directors.

An aviation industry veteran, McClure most recently served as chief human resources officer and senior vice president of labor at United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS), whose 481,000-strong workforce serves more than 220 countries with a fleet of 500 UPS and chartered aircraft.

McClure joined UPS in 1995 as employment counsel in the company’s legal department. Over her nearly 25-year career with the logistics giant she progressed into a number of key senior leadership positions including general counsel and corporate secretary, before ultimately serving as chief human resources officer. Prior to UPS, McClure worked in private practice in Atlanta. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a juris doctor from Emory University School of Law.

“We’re so pleased to welcome Teri to the board with her wealth of experience building high performing teams at one of the nation’s largest employers,” said Joel Peterson, chairman of the JetBlue board. “She also brings valuable legal and aviation perspective from across the globe that will support the success of the airline.”

“Teri’s work leading people and talent for one of the most recognizable companies in the world is an invaluable asset at JetBlue, where our people and culture are key to our success,” said Robin Hayes, chief executive officer, JetBlue. “We welcome her insights and look forward to the valuable role she will play as JetBlue looks ahead to its 20th anniversary of flying.”

The appointment of McClure brings JetBlue’s Board of Directors to 11 members, 10 of whom are independent.
