Volato Orders 25 HondaJet Elite IIs

Honda's Newest Offering Sees Mondo Order for Up and Coming Fractional Operator

Volato's growth has been continuous in the greater bizjet industry's increasing popularity, but their most recent order puts even their biggest purchase to shame with an order for 25 of Honda's latest and greatest.

The purchase will take the Volato fleet up to 42 aircraft in total, more than doubling it from its current roster of 17.

“We’ve been in talks with Honda for a bit of time because we did see demand in the market for ordering more planes. In the fractional space," said Matt Liotta, Volata CEO. "The other popular plane is the Phenom 300 and NetJets announced that they were ordering 100 of those. So, that is just another datapoint for the demand that exists for shares. In many ways the same customers for the Phenom 300 are also our customers for the HondaJet.”

Liotta told reporters that customers can buy shares in the upcoming aircraft, expected to begin delivery from 2023 on. Those who buy in will obtain access to the current Volato fleet, allowing them to start enjoying the current crop of HondaJets already in service.

“Waiting until 2024 or beyond is a really long time when people need to fly now, so we accommodate that as soon as they sign their agreement to purchase the share,” he said. “Whatever the delivery date is, we’ll give them access to our existing fleet immediately. We have a great relationship with HondaJet and we’re excited to make this order and continue this great relationship for years to come.”
