Enstrom Certifies Appaero Vision 1000

Now Available For Installation In Enstrom 480B Helicopters

Enstrom Corporation has certified Appareo’s Vision 1000 in the Enstrom 480B turbine helicopter. FAA certification for the Vision 1000 was granted in June followed by EASA and the Brazilian ANAC. Approval is in process with the Chinese CAAC and the CAA of Argentina.

The Vision 1000 is Appareo’s FAA-certified cockpit recording device that captures attitude data, WAAS GPS, cockpit imaging, and ambient audio. “It is a self-contained design that is a perfect fit for the Enstrom 480B,” says Dennis Martin, Director of Sales & Marketing at Enstrom Helicopter. “The fact that it can capture so much information and it can be installed in a day in new or older aircraft has made it a perfect option for our customers.”

This low cost option for data recording can be a safety and security benefit to all operators. According to Matt Francour, President & CEO at Enstrom, “The quality and the data that the Vision 1000 can capture supports the goals that Enstrom sets as the safest helicopter. We are very pleased to be able to offer another great option on our line of helicopters.”
