Helicopter Travel Munich Signs For One H145

New Aircraft To Be Delivered In December 2017

Global helicopter offshore hoist operator Helicopter Travel Munich (HTM) has signed for one H145 at Helitech International.

The new aircraft - to be delivered in December 2017- will be operated from HTM’s bases at Emden, Norden, Borkum and Helgoland, serving offshore windfarms in the German Bight. The H145 joins HTM’s already-extensive inventory of Airbus Helicopters-built rotorcraft that includes eleven H135-family aircraft.

“Since 2009, when we started offshore wind operations with H135, we have found Airbus Helicopters to be a very reliable partner and we are happy to continue this partnership with the H145”, said Bernd Brucherseifer, HTM’s Managing Director. “We believe the H145 is the right helicopter to respond to the increasing demand for hoisting helicopters with larger transport capacity and dual pilot operation, especially for windfarms increasingly further out to sea”,

Airbus Helicopters’ twin-engine H145 is recognized for its agility and handling qualities – even in high wind conditions and the constrained offshore operational environment. With two powerful turboshaft engines, the rotorcraft provides extraordinary hover capacities optimal safety during normal flight conditions and in one-engine-inoperative (OEI) scenarios. Passengers have easy access via extra-wide sliding doors on both sides of the aircraft, while rear clamshell doors facilitate the loading/unloading of stretchers, equipment and supplies.
