Installation Approved For M7 Aerospace SA226/SA227
MT-Propeller has received the a Letter of Acceptance from the government of Venezuela validating FAA STC SA03893AT for the installation of its 5-bladed scimitar composite propeller (MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(G)/CFRL250-103) on the M7 Aerospace Models SA226/SA227.
This installation has also been approved by EASA (STC No. 10015216), TCCA Canada Letter of Acceptance to the EASA STC and SCT Mexico Validation (No. IA-237/2013).
According to MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht, the installation requires no engine modifications (no cam or beta tube change). Ground roll distance is reduced by approximately 165 ft, and take-off distance over 50 ft obstacle reduced by approximately 260 ft.
Additionally two engine and single engine climb performance is slightly improved by up to 80 ft/min, and cruise performance is slightly improved by up to 2 kts.
The composite prop weighs about 65 lbs less weight than the OEM metal propeller. Aircraft noise level is about 5 dB(A) less than with the original metal propellers, and cabin noise is reduced by 3 to 4 dB(A) depending on location.
Due to the smaller diameter the MT-Propeller for the M7 Aerospace Models SA226/SA227 has more ground clearance for less blade tip erosion.
The MT-Propeller natural composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction. They have no life limitation, and are repairable.
The company says they also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.
